Ben and Shannon are proud parents of identical twin girls Katelyn and Kiara. Since they have joined us earth side we have discovered having kids can be an expensive process. Because of this we have found some ways to keep the costs lower and also help to save the environment by investing in re-usable products. Help us on our mission to save the environment from unnecessary landfill and keep more cash in your wallet. We are proudly Australian owned and made and intend to stay this way!
History of Zappy Nappy
Zappy Nappies were among the first modern cloth nappies to be made in Australia. Designed in Eumundi, Queensland in 1991, they have changed the way young families raise their little ones. Maureen Taylor started making her wonderful cotton nappies for her own baby back in the late ’80s. Naturally her friends saw them and wanted some too. Eventually she made lots of nappies and began selling them at the Eumundi Markets. Zappy Nappy was born.
In 1994 Zappy Nappy won the Sunshine Coast Economic Development Board Innovation Award
In April 2011 after 20 years sewing and selling Zappy Nappies at the Eumundi Markets, Maureen retires handing over the Nappies (and sewing machines) to Amanda and sailing off into the sunset for a well deserved extended holiday.
In May 2o15 Amanda retires from Zappy Nappy and Ben and Shannon take over as the new owners.
